Brayden & Sofia | Summer Couples Session in Provo Canyon
This session with Brayden and Sofia was such a summer dream! We shot their couples photos up in Provo Canyon, and everything was SO green. The mountains were glowing, the light was soft and golden, and it felt like the perfect escape from the heat down in the valley. Just earlier that day it had been a little stormy, so we were a little nervous, but the weather ended up being PERFECT for the session.
I’ve known Brayden since my freshman year at BYU—we lived in the same dorms and his room of guys was really good friends with my room of girls. This was my first time meeting his wife, Sofia, and she is just the sweetest. So kind, so easy to talk to, and absolutely stunning (P.S. She is a super talented nail artist! Check her out!). They’re such a natural fit, and you can tell right away how much fun they have together. I don’t think we stopped laughing the entire time we were shooting.
Summer in Provo Canyon is one of my favorite times and places to shoot. Everything is lush and alive, and if you time it just right, you get that gorgeous golden light that filters through the trees. The way the sun hit the grass and mountains was just chef’s kiss.
They chose the perfect outfits too—Sofia wore a cute denim maxi skirt and Brayden kept it classic and clean. I always love when couples dress in a way that feels like them but still elevates the moment a little bit. And the colors they picked popped so well against all the green without overpowering it.
These two made my job way too easy. They’re relaxed, affectionate, and totally trusted me, which always makes a session feel more like a fun hangout than work. I loved capturing their sweet dynamic, and I’m so glad we got such a perfect night in the mountains.
